You Ft. Myers area employers – and those of you in Jacksonville, Florida today, for that matter  …  if you have or had any unexpected absences among your employees yesterday, today or tomorrow – find out if they were trying to go see Barack Obama.  Now I know that you can get yourself in somewhat of a PR and legal jam if you fire an employee for their political beliefs .. but I’m telling you right now, if I had an employee whom I know supported Obama and intended to vote for him in November – and if that was an employee who was not completely irreplaceable and essential to my business -- I would work diligently to build a record that would support a termination – and then I would tell that to hit the bricks.  Actions have consequences, and we’re in a battle to save our country.  Simply put, I would not want to provide a living to anyone who is an active participant in any effort to destroy the country that made my business possible.  By the way .. this pretty much applies to any employee driving a car with an Obama bumper sticker as well.
