It’s still a bit early to do a lot of pontificating over the tragedy in Aurora, Colorado. What we know is that some white guy stood up in front of a theatre, fired off what they say are tear gas cannisters, and then proceeded to start shooting people fleeing the theatre. He killed 14. The news will concentrate fully on this today …. Most likely it will suck all wind out of the political campaigns.
Even at this early stage in the investigation, there are some things which we will undoubtedly see:
Progs will use this tragedy to focus on their desire for gun control.
At some point the killer will be identified as a right-winger.
This will be used to promote Hillary’s signature on that U.N. small arms control treaty.
Our hearts go out to the friends and families of those killed and injured in this attack.
