Today and tomorrow are two of the most important days in the broadcast year for me.  It’s the 12^th Annual WSB Care-a-Thon, an event where we raise money for the AFLAC Cancer Center at Children’s Hospital in Atlanta.  Twelve years – and over that time we’ve raised over $11 million dollars .. over a million dollars a year.  We cover the costs … ALL the money goes to the AFLAC.  The entire WSB staff .. and especially Belinda and I who have been there all along … have rejoiced with kids who beat their cancer, and mourned for those who did not.  There just are not words to express the love we feel for the staff of the AFLAC Cancer Center and the children and their families who come there for treatment.  Yes … I’m retiring, but I’ll arrange my travels to make sure that every year I’m right back here in Atlanta so that I can be there for the Care-A-Thon as long as they’ll have me.
