Dems Aren't Enthused

Dems and proggies aren’t feeling all that excited about voting in November.  They are significantly less likely – 39% less likely -- to say that they are “more enthusiastic about voting than usual” compared to 2004 and 2008.

Can you blame them?  In 2008, Americans got caught up in the excitement of electing sort-of-a-God to the presidency.  He was cool.  He was hip.  He was going to be America’s first black president!  Wow!  Isn’t that amazing!  Oh, and did I mention that he’s like cool and like all for that like hope and like change stuff and just totally cool?  And that’s about as far as the thought process went.

On the flip side, Republicans are more enthusiastic than they were in 2008.  I would venture to say that this doesn’t have much to do with any tingly-leg sensations they get over Mitt Romney.  This is because conservatives are genuinely worried about the direction of our country and believe that Barack Obama has a different idea of what America should be.

You gotta love the proggies though.  Even though they can’t tell us of any of the great accomplishments of our Dear Ruler, they do know that the only reason conservatives vehemently oppose Dear Ruler is because he’s black.  For those mindless progs, I have this to offer: I disagree with Obama’s white half more than I do his black half.

There.  Problem solved.

But who could energize the Republican ticket?  New polling shows that Condi Rice would help Mitt Romney on the ticket, at least in battleground states like Pennsylvania and Michigan.  The only problem with that, in my mind, is learning how to spell Condoleezza.  The name, by the way, comes from a term of art in Italian Opera.  (And have I ever told you that I once appeared in a production of Aida by the Metropolitan Opera of New York?)
