At the end of the annual WSB Care-a-Thon for the Aflac Cancer Center at Children’s Hospital we ran the tape and, by golly, you wonderful folks had pledged over $1.5 million!  That is absolutely amazing, and I trust you know that every single penny of that money will go to the Aflac Cancer Center to help them in their treatment of children with cancers and blood disorders, and to fund research into new treatments and possible cures.

Here’s an interesting little factoid for you:  I told you that over $1.5 million had been pledged.  Maybe you’re wondering how much of that we will actually collect.  Well .. here’s a wonderful surprise.  Every single year of the Care-A-Thon we have collected over 100% of the amount that was pledged.  Last year I believe the figure was close to 110%! 

You WSB listeners are amazing.  We tried to paint a picture of what it was like to sit there for two days with these amazing children and their wonderful families --- perhaps we succeeded, because you came through for them in grand fashion.  Thank you so much.
