Spelling bee ... is this true? By Neal Boortz
I’m being told this morning that there was not one finalist in the National Spelling Bee this week that attends government schools . That, like, wouldn’t, like, surprise me a bit. Know whut am sayin’? Also … for the 5th year in a row (or for 5 out of the last 6 years) the winner has been an Indian. Now is this because Indians (the kind from India) are genetically smarter? Of course not. It’s their culture --- a culture that values learning and hard work. Maybe we can learn something from them.
