Oh phuleeeeeeeze.  Can we give this thing a rest? 

Now the latest tact from the Birthers is this idea that Obama isn’t Constitutionally qualified to be president because both of his parents weren’t citizens of the United States.  That, they say, is the definition of a “natural born citizen.” 

Read my lips.  This isn’t going to work.  This is going NOWHERE.  This is tilting at windmills in the extreme.  There is a zero=percent chance that any federal court, let alone the Supreme Court, is going to rule Obama ineligible. 

The ONLY rational and sane interpretation of our Constitution is that to qualify to run for president the candidate must have been born in this country more than 40 years earlier.  Obama was born in Hawaii.  Though Hawaiians for the most part weren’t all that happy with it back then, Hawaii was a State, and Obama is a citizen – a natural born citizen.

We would all be a lot better off if the people pursuing this asinine tact would just dedicate their efforts to defeating Obama in November.  There’s a goal they can actually accomplish if they put their efforts into it.
