Caesar Obammus believes that America’s greatness comes from government spending. He also believes the private sector to be “the enemy.” That’s what he called it in his book. Oh … and now we know that Obama was once a member of the New Party .. though he once denied it .. a party dedicated to ending capitalism. Based on these facts alone, you begin to understand why Obama has been an abysmal failure when it comes to our economy. He doesn’t understand capitalism, he doesn’t understand free enterprise, he doesn’t understand free markets, and he doesn’t understand what he’s doing. He’s in over his head. What’s more … most Americans know, or strongly suspect, he’s in over his head. Some will vote for him because they’ve always voted for Democrats. Some will vote for him because he looks like them. Some will vote for him because he’s the one that will keep the government checks coming their way … but no matter the reason for their vote, they know Obama is barely able to keep his head above water when it comes to the economy.
The fact is that we cannot have a thriving economy without the private sector. Even worse for ObamaBots … we can’t have a thriving America without rich people! Think about it. How many poor people create businesses or hire workers? You can’t do these things without evil rich investors or becoming an evil rich person yourself.
Barack Obama’s solution to stimulating our private sector is to hire more government workers … now just how much sense does that make to you? You and I both know this is a load of Bolshoi, but a new study from Europe backs up our suspicions.
Economists at the University in Paris looked at government employment in 17 countries from 1960 to 2000. After examining forty years of data in 17 countries, the economists determined that for every “public-sector” job (we’ll call them government jobs) .. for every government job that’s created, 1.5 private sector jobs were destroyed. In other words, growing the size of a government workforce actually increases the level of unemployment. So theoretically, Obama could get his way and hire all of these teachers and firemen and policemen, but at what cost to other private sector employees in those communities?
Another interesting study included in this article by Michael Tanner is about Dear Ruler’s stimulus bill. Timothy Conley of the University of Western Ontario and Bill Dupor of Ohio State concluded that, while the stimulus bill created or saved or affected or touched some 450,000 government jobs, but it destroyed or prevented the creation of more than twice as many private-sector jobs.
Read that again: While the stimulus bill created government jobs, it destroyed or prevented twice as many private sector jobs!
And Dear Ruler believes that the private sector is doing just fine. Amazing.
