For the most part, the ObamaMedia has actually been pretty mum on the Fast and Furious issue. The networks like NBC and ABC have had a virtual blackout in coverage on the issue over the last year or so. As the scandal spreads to the White House, we will see how much coverage it garners from here on out. My guess is, not a lot. The ObamaMedia is too deep into their protection of Barack Obama to change course now. It’s not like Barry was found in bed with a dead girl or a live boy. (I just LOVE that line!)
But then there are channels like MSNBC. Here are just two ridiculous examples of Fast and Furious coverage from that network.
One strategist attempted to paint this scandal as a good thing for … Obama? Seriously! This actually came from a supposedly conservative MSNBC analyst Michelle Bernard. She says that "...when you think about just the damage that has been done over the last year to the GOP's brand, this is just another – adds more fuel to the fire." She goes on to explain that "...this is just another thing that I think gives the Obama administration and the Obama campaign a little bit more fuel to go to the American public and say, 'Why won't they just do their job? We don't elect members of the Congress to come in and beat up on the Attorney General and be obstructionists. Ask them to do their job and back off of Eric Holder.' It makes no sense."
Then we have Chris Matthews, who naturally had to bring race into the picture. He said that the contempt charges against Eric Holder had an “ethnic” feel. Matthews says, "Is this sort of stop-and-frisk at the highest level? Go after the attorney general, get him to empty his pockets, stand in the spotlight." I anticipate this line of thinking to pervade most liberal talking points when it comes to this scandal.
Here are the two lines of defense you can expect from libs and proggies:
Now .. for those of you who went to government schools … let me sum this up.
We know these things because we know that all opinions expressed in opposition to Barack Obama, any of his appointees, any of his initiatives or any factor of his presidency is based on his color, not his philosophy or actions.
