If it were up to union goons like AFL-CIO president Richard Trumka, your “right” to form a union would “absolutely” be added to the Civil Rights Act. Trumka says, “It should be a right. Everyone should have a right to come together to better their economic lot. … It is a right. The right to have a voice on the job should be every much as strong and as institutionalized as the right to vote and everything else — not to be discriminated against.”
Should I be the one to break it to Trumka, that there is no Constitutional right to vote -- at least not in a presidential election? This is one of those myths perpetuated by generations of government education. Also, notice how proggies and the libs are so anxious to group you together, individual rights and pursuits be damned.
That’s not the only “right” that the libs would like to secure. Democrat legislators in Michigan want a new entitlement: a free college education. That’s right. They want to spend upwards of $2 billion every year to provide “free” college tuition to anyone in Michigan who needs it.
When will our entitlement society come to an end? There’s only so much of the burden that the producers can bear. There is a breaking point … and I’m afraid we are rapidly approaching it.
