As I was preparing the notes this morning, I’ve found a few examples of “news” stories about which I could really care less.  Here we go … a list of things that I don’t care about in the news:

• The dressing habits of Moochelle Obama or Ann Romney.  Let’s stop pretending here: both of these women are rich and they wear nice clothes.  Is it smart to wear $500 sneakers to feed homeless people at a food bank?  That’s for PR puppets to decide.  But for the incessant coverage of who wore what out-of-touch expensive outfit where … BFD.

• Whether or not the Obama camp knew that John Edwards was a lying, cheating SOB.  Edwards is now a private citizen.  Obama is now president.  Trust me, we have a lot of bigger fish to fry.

• Whether or not Barack Obama supports gay marriage.  While the political twisting of his minions is entertaining, the issue of gay marriage isn’t going to make a durn difference in my life.  Nor will it in yours. 

• What percentage of Cherokee Indian Elizabeth Warren claims to be, or if her great-great-great grandfather ironically orchestrated the Trail of Tears.  How about exploring the fact that this woman claims to be the intellectual foundation for the OccuTard movement!  This, however, implies that the movement is somehow based on intellect.

• Whether or not a pro-choice administration requires expecting mothers to register their un-born children as “visitors” during White House tours.  C’mon people, focusing on these issues isn’t going to get us anywhere in November.

Now, on to some more insensitivity!
