If you want to see where this country is headed in terms of healthcare and political correctness, all we need to do is look across the pond to Great Britain. What a bastion of liberal Bolshoi and cradle-to-grave politics.
The latest news is that some political hacks in the British government want healthcare workers (government employees) to stop using the word “obese.” That’s right! Lardasses can no longer be called the proper, medical term “obese” because … you might offffffend someone.
Guidance sent to health officials warned that “the term ‘obesity’ may be unhelpful – while some people like to ‘hear it like it is,’ others may consider it derogatory, according to the Daily Mail.
Is this not absurd? I can think of a lot of other terms for obese people that would be a lot more offfffensive.
Actually … I think that the plain and simple “F” word works. FAT! Let’s get back to the basics.
