It may be time for another Boortz “I told you so.”  If you’ll recall, about a month ago, Caesar Obammus’ propaganda team rolled out his new campaign slogan for 2012: Forward.  It didn’t take long before we realized the irony of Obama’s chosen slogan and its historically documented use among communists, socialist and Marxists.  It caused a little bit of a stink, and I predicted that the slogan wouldn’t last all that long.

Then yesterday I see this headline in The Hill: “Obama team struggles to find 2012 reelection campaign theme.”  Wait a durn minute .. I thought we already had a theme or a slogan.  What happened to “forward?”  The story reads, “Obama formally launched his campaign this month with the message of “Forward,” but one senior Democratic Party official told The Hill that people who thought that would be the campaign’s lasting official slogan should ‘stay tuned.’”

I don’t think the slogan will be eliminated … after all, all of that merchandise that’s already been produced would be expensive to throw into the trash heap of history.  But don’t count on “forward” being the predominant focus like “hope” or “change” were in 2008.
