So now so-called “civil right’s icon” (more of a race pimp) Joseph Lowery, former boss at the SCLC, is campaigning against the Charter School Amendment on the ballot in Georgia next Tuesday. While you’re thinking about whether or not you should actually listen to what Lowery has to say on this matter --- consider this. If you happen to be white, Lowery thinks – and has publicly stated – that you are going to hell. That’s right. Joseph Lowery has recently restated his long-held opinion that “All white people are going to hell.” Now is this the guy you want to listen to on the matter of educating your children? Think about this --- if your children are white this fool thinks they’re going to hell anyway, so they might as well get there with a good education.
This Charter School Amendment is really very simple. Teacher’s unions (and yes, Georgia does have teacher’s unions – just without the collective bargaining) together with the government education establishment have been fighting on the local level to make sure charter schools don’t happen. Proponents of charter schools managed to get this amendment on the ballot so that the state could create these charter schools when the local education monopoly blocks them. A “yes” vote on the Charter Schools Amendment is a step toward school choice.
Neal Boortz chronicles his 42 years of talk radio in his book "Maybe I Should Just Shut Up and Go Away" Available on line and printed from Barnes and Noble and Amazon.
