Climate Change Gets Its Time In The Spotlight

If you’ll recall, after the presidential debates became history, there were a lot of disappointed proggies.  It wasn’t just because their guy, Barack Obama, did such a poor job in the first debate.  It was because for the first time in over twenty years, climate change or global warming was brought up during any of the presidential debates.  Perhaps this has to do with the fact that a) It is at the absolute bottom of the list of things that Americans care about and b) there has been no measurable warming in 16 years.  So global warming – or “climate change” as the proggies started calling it when it became clear the earth wasn’t getting warmer -- wasn’t mentioned at the debates and there were definitely grumblings about that.

Then Sandy came along, and in the words of Rahm Emanuel, “Never let a good crisis go to waste.”  So the proggies have jumped at the opportunity to bring their cause to the forefront once again.

Henry “nostrils” Waxman is calling for a Congressional hearing on the link between climate change and Superstorm Sandy during the upcoming lame duck session.  I guess apparently Taxmageddon isn’t enough for these clowns to tackle in the short session …

Then we have Michael Bloomberg.  In the wake of Sandy, Bloomberg found it necessary to come out and endorse Barack Obama.  Why did he endorse Obama?  The headline says it all: “A Vote for a President to Lead on Climate Change.”  Yeah, that’s why.

An Obama campaign surrogate has also connected Superstorm Sandy to climate change.  Kevin Knobloch is the president of the Union of Concerned Scientists.  But speaking as an Obama surrogate, Knobloch says that we need to more aggressively reduce greenhouse gas emissions.  We know that Obama agrees with this statement because he told us himself in 2008!  Remember this: “So if somebody wants to build a coal-powered plant, they can; it's just that it will bankrupt them because they're going to be charged a huge sum for all that greenhouse gas that's being emitted.”

Without an election to worry about, I guarantee you that a second Barack Obama term will mean a lot more pandering to the environmentalists.  What makes me say that?  Well for one, have you witnessed the lengths to which Obama has gone to in order to cover up his impending regulations --- the implementation of which have been delayed until past the election?    Many of these regulations are related to the environment and includes greenhouse gas regulation.  They will cost America millions of jobs and will stand in the way of economic growth.

Each year the administration is required by law to produce a report outlining their regulatory plans and their economic impact.  The Obama administration has decided to ignore this law, not once but twice!  It has decided, to hell with this report, we are simply going to break the law and we are not going to issue it.  That’s the Barack Obama way.  Laws are only to be recognized and followed when they benefit Obama and his agenda … and only then.

Consider how much effort Obama has put into eliminating the red tape in the wake of Superstorm Sandy … yet he hides his tsunami of red tape waiting just around the corner for millions of businesses.
