Exit polling from the election showed that the voters want to raise taxes on the filthy, disgusting, evil rich.  This is understandable, considering that half of Americans don’t pay any income taxes to begin with, so it’s not their taxes they are voting to raise.  But now we have another poll conducted after the election which shows that 60% of Americans want all of the Bush tax cuts to be extended.  Do these people understand that the Bush tax cuts include evil rich people? 

In other words, it seems as though people don’t truly have a grasp on what is really going on.  Yet Obama and the Democrats claim to have a “mandate” to raise taxes from the mindless whims of these masses.  Scary stuff.
