If you will recall, Dear Ruler met with union leaders earlier this week.  Their discussion was focused primarily on the fiscal cliff, and it was duly noted that Obama met with union leaders on the issue before he met with business leaders.  But what do you expect?  Labor unions take full credit for Obama’s victory last week, and now it is time for their payback.

Top goonions admit that their chances of getting card check passed are still slim, considering those evil Republicans managed to hang on to the House.  Because of this pesky fact, Obama is going to have to use other means in order to help boost union power.

Enter, the National Labor Relations Board.

You may remember this board’s claim to fame in the infamous Boeing controversy.  Well this is the same board that Obama will now use as a way to properly thank these labor unions.

First down the chute is a rule that would force businesses to hand over worker contact information to union organizers.  This information could be anything from phone numbers, to email addresses to shift times.  Why do unions need for this information?  To be used for intimidation .. duhh!  These unions want employee information in order to harass them as many ways as possible into caving into union demands.  The Heritage Foundation’s James Sherk told The Washington Examiner, “It is just going to be a headache for workers. You tell the union organizer ‘no’ once and they just keep coming back can come back and they keep harassing you and now they’ve got your phone number that they can be calling you on — now they can be spamming your email.”

Here’s another rule that you can expect to come down the pipeline in the future …

Business leaders are fearful that the NLRB is going to pass a rule that would essentially give preference to union companies in securing government contracts by demanding that companies pay higher wages, generous benefits and abide by labor laws.  This is how far it goes, according to the AP: “A new rule expected from the Labor Department would force companies to reveal relationships with so-called union-busting consulting companies even if these companies have no contact with workers.”

Just wait, folks!  These unions will not allow Obama to forget about them and their insatiable quest for power.
