Just last week I warned you that the Obama administration will be using his (illegally appointed) National Labor Relations Board in order to thank the unions for their work in getting him re-elected. I told you about one promise already coming down the pipeline which is to allow unions to access personal employee information including email addresses, phone numbers and work schedules of employees. This, of course, helps union goons access and intimidate workers into supporting or joining a union.
This next “thank you” hits close to home.
First let’s set the stage. You may remember a story I told you earlier this summer about unionized nursing home workers in Connecticut who intentionally endangered their patients over a labor dispute. Is this ringing a bell? Here are some of the details from the Daily Caller …
According to police reports obtained by The Daily Caller and reported Monday by the RedState blog, HealthBridge Management Health Care Centers alleged that union employees in at least three of its facilities intentionally mixed up or removed patient name plates, photos, medical bracelets and dietary advisories as they began their strike. Additionally, the police reports include allegations of both vandalism and larceny…
The police report states that “prior to the employee labor strike … the name tags on the patient’s doors for the Alzheimer’s ward were mixed up. The photos attached to the medical records for these patients were removed further complicating, but not making impossible the identification of the patients.”
“Also, dietary blue stickers affixed to the door name tags were removed,” the report continued. A source with knowledge of HealthBridge’s operations told TheDC that those stickers identify residents that have dysphagia, or trouble swallowing. Those patients have special dietary restrictions to prevent them from choking.
Now I said that this story hits close to home, and this is because of my sister. Betty is in an attended nursing facility. Thankfully, this one is run by a church, so I’m comforted (hopefully not falsely) that this behavior is unlikely with my sister. But the fact remains that these actions by these union thugs is nothing short of repulsive. It is beyond disgusting. These union thugs should be in jail, not agitating to get their jobs back. Can you even start to believe that someone tried to sabotage the health care of a helpless nursing home patients would later demand their jobs back?
So what does this have to do with Obama and his National Labor Relations Board? Last week, Obama’s NLRB asked a judge to force the Connecticut nursing home to re-hire the workers involved in the labor dispute, including those who were involved in sabotaging and jeopardizing patients’ health. Obama’s America. Unions so powerful that a union goon can do something like this and end up being protected by the Obama Administration. Unbelievable.
As a side note … it was a protest by the purple-shirted goons of the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) who engaged in the anti-Romney protest that gave us the ObamaPhone lady.
