While tonight’s debate is about the economy, the story about the terrorist attack in Libya continues to grow, and will surely be the topic of future debates.
As it turns out, our consulate and/or its workers were attacked or threated not once, not twice, but thirteen times in the months leading up to the September 11th attack in Benghazi. Thirteen times! With this information in hand, Rep. Darrell Issa, the chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, and Rep. Jason Chaffetz, the chairman of the oversight committee’s subcommittee that deals with national security, have sent a letter to Hillary Clinton. The letter, which you can read right here, essentially asks her to answer the following questions by October 8th:
The White House’s response? No comment. Of course there’s no comment because this does not feed into their manufactured argument that this was all because of a YouTube video!
