If anyone in Washington suffers from a permanent rectal-cranial inversion, it would be Joe Biden. Don’t ya think? Here’s the latest example …
“You know the phrase they always use: ‘Obama and Biden want to raise taxes by a trillion dollars.’ Guess what? Yes, we do in one regard – we want to let that trillion dollar tax cut expire so the middle class doesn’t have to bear the burden of all that money going to the super wealthy. That’s not a tax raiser. That’s called fairness where I come from.”
Please tell me that the man just a heartbeat away from the presidency doesn’t really think that this is how our economy works. The middle class “bears the burden” of “all that money going to the super wealthy”? The wealthy people EARNED that money. It is theirs! Money is not going to them; it is staying with the people who earned it. And if Biden is so concerned about fairness, perhaps he can explain why the top 10% of taxpayers (the super wealthy) earn about 19% of the income but pay close to 40% in income taxes!
