If you want to take a peek into the thought process of a mindless liberal, just take a look at this letter that was recently published in the Washington Post.
Regarding the Sept. 30 front-page article “Romney’s money trap”:
Mitt Romney asked a contractor (perhaps a small business) for an estimate to construct a walkway. When he learned what it would cost, he decided to build it himself with his sons’ help. In this one action, Mr. Romney unwittingly displayed who he really is.
When my husband and I faced a similar construction project for our home, we did the calculations. We looked at the cost of the raw goods, the amount of time it would take us and our lack of professionalism in this arena. The economy was very bad then (2009), and we decided that we were fortunate enough to be able to pay someone to do the work. We did what every reasonable homeowner does: We got three estimates, then hired the firm we thought would do the work best and at the fairest price. (Note that I didn’t say cheapest. Fair includes a measure of quality.) We watched as three young men worked hard over several days, earning their paychecks and giving us something we wanted in return. But by taking the little step of moving money from our bank account to that of the small business, we helped at least three people stay in their jobs (at least for the duration of our project), we received something in return, and we are all better off as a result.
Is my bank account fatter as a result? No, of course not. That’s what’s wrong with Mr. Romney. He thinks that having all the money in his account — and cheating people out of jobs — is a winning proposition.
Oh wow! This is just unbelievable. If you need something done around your home, and you do it yourself, you are cheating someone else out of a job! Are you believing this donkey squeeze? (There’s a reason the Democrat party symbol is an ass, you know).
Cheating people out of jobs?
What about mowing your own lawn? You’re cheating some landscaping service out of that job. Do you clean your own home? What about those maid services who will do that for you? Somewhere out there is a starving infant who’s mother might be earning food money cleaning your home if you weren’t such a heartless selfish bitch. Do you wash your own car in the driveway? What about those people standing down there at the local car wash ready to dry off your car and spray some hideous fragrance inside that will make your wife drop-dead certain that you picked up a hooker last night? And then there’s you insanely selfish people who cook meals at home. What about all of the cooks and servers who would be working if you would just seal off your kitchen.
That – my friends – is the mind of a liberal at work. Pure emotional thinking --- with only enough logic to keep from being placed in a side show somewhere. In fact, these people would make an amusing comedy troupe if it weren’t for the fact that they can cast votes and put people like Dear Ruler in office.
Not hiring someone is not “cheating” someone out of a job … it is the right of the person who earned the money to determine how best to spend that money. Just because Romney is “fortunate” doesn’t mean that he is obligated to hire someone else to do the work that he feels he or his sons could do themselves. Instead, that money will be spent (or donated) on something else that Romney, as a consumer, values more. That’s how a free-market economy works. Liberals hate the free market with free people choosing to spend money (or not spend money) where they want, because it requires competition.
Besides … on this Romney being “fortunate” thing. He gave away his inheritance. All he has is what he earned on his own.
