What’s with the obsession with the government limiting the size of sugary drinks? The large sugary drink ban may spread from New York City to Washington DC.
Let’s be honest here … this has nothing to do with “public health” and everything to do with power. These politicians do not believe that you are capable of making healthy, rational decisions about how you live your life. Instead, they feel as though a government bureaucrat in some cubicle knows better how to live your life. These bureaucrats will be dedicated to implementing and enforcing asinine rules and regulations. They will suck down taxpayer salaries and benefits and pensions, all so that they can devote their lives to making sure that you live YOUR life the way that government intends for you.
First it’s sugary drinks. Then, what’s next? Your healthcare? Oh wait a minute! Thanks to the Democrats, the government has decided that those it has deemed worthy -- a politician, a bureaucrat or an unelected panel of “experts” – will make those decisions for you.
Neal Boortz chronicles his 42 years of talk radio in his book "Maybe I Should Just Shut Up and Go Away" Available on line and printed from Barnes and Noble and Amazon.
