First of all, did any else notice all of the chanting? In nearly every speech it seems as though people found something to chant or repeat in unison. Let’s see .. we had “Forward not back.” Then there was “Four more years” or “no!” Why do liberals love to chant so much? Think back to the OccuTards and their asinine (though disturbingly amusing) “people’s mic.” Yes .. this can be explained. Liberals are collectivists. Group identity is more important to your friendly neighborhood proggies than is individual identity. As such, liberals are much more comfortable acting as a group – chanting as a group – than they are acting independently.
Consider this: Obama’s slogan for this election is “Forward.” We won’t go through it all again her – at least not in detail – but we’ve already pointed out to you that “Forward” has long been a slogan for communist and socialist causes. The first recorded use of the “Forward” slogan was in a pamphlet written in the 1830’s. The author of the booklet was none other than Karl Marx. It was one of his first writings promoting his Communist ideology. Now --- if you’re chanting “Forward” as a group you have no fears of having to defend or explain the origin of the slogan. Get out there and shout this slogan alone – and you’re pretty much on your own. Safety in numbers.
Yes .. you did see chanting at the Republican convention. My recollection, though, is that it was used to drown out demonstrators … those Code Pink ladies.
