Obama must be breathing a sign of relief today. The news has shifted away from his the spectacular collapse of Dear Ruler’s apology and pandering based outreach to the Muslim world. Good going boss! How many Americans have died in the last week at the hands of our wonderful Muslim friends?
Well … for a while, at least, it really doesn’t matter. It seems that a tape of Mitt Romney has surfaced speaking at a fundraiser last Spring. Proggies are outraged … and of course this means that the ObamaMedia is outraged also. Well .. not really outraged. The ObamaMedia is actually thrilled. They have a wonderful tape they can use to attack the man who threatens their creation .. Barack Obama.
Here … for those of you who haven’t been paying attention … is what Romney said in response to a question from an attendee at the fund raiser:
“There are 47 percent of the people who will vote for the president no matter what. All right, there are 47 percent who are with him, who are dependent upon government, who believe that they are victims, who believe the government has a responsibility to care for them, who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you-name-it. That that's an entitlement … and the government should give it to them. And they will vote for this president no matter what…These are people who pay no income tax. …. My job is not to worry about those people. I'll never convince them they should take personal responsibility and care for their lives."
Now I’ll admit that these are not the most ideal words to come out of a candidates mouth, but not being ideal does not make the words untrue. Romney is saying what I’ve been saying for years. Romney hit the nail smack dab on the head. So do I. The difference is, he’s running for office and I’m not.
Sociologists will tell you that in any society --- any present society or any society that has existed on earth since man’s history began – in any society you will find no less than 10 percent of the people who will do only what they actually need to do to exist at a minimal level. Once the basic needs of life are met, the effort stops. Democrats (with no small amount of help from Republicans) have been working tirelessly to expand this demographic for decades. Why? Because these are the people who are most likely to support the party of government --- the Democrat Party.
I’m sounding like a broken record here … but I’ve been telling my listeners since 1994 .. since the Republican takeover of the House and the Senate in 1994 .. that one day the Democrats would return; and when they returned they would have one dominate goal in mind: To work as hard and fast as they possibly could to make as many Americans dependent on government as can in as short a time period as possible. So in the first four years of Dear Ruler we get ObamaCare – the program that will ultimately make every American completely dependent on government for their health care. We get a doubling of people on food stamps. We get a welfare expansion and the evisceration of any work requirements to qualify for welfare. Getting a freaking massage counts as work, for Obama’s sake.
Romney is right. We’re now at the point where over 47 percent of the people in this county --- over 47 [ercemt of people who are old enough to be in the U.S. workforce --- pay no income taxes at all. Actually, it’s worse than that. Not only do they not pay taxes, they consume a good portion of the taxes paid by the other 52+ percent. These people are on the government teat .. and for all-too-many of them, that’s exactly where they want to stay.
In America, one-half of the population is living off the other half. Almost one-half of Americans support and maintain their lifestyles by using the federal government as an instrument of plunder. And why not? Politicians – liberal politicians – make it easy for them. Their president – their hero – their savior – Barack Obama -- says that it is government spending that made America great! Well fine! Then let’s make America even greater! Spend more money on ME! These moochers rather like the life of living off of the work of others and they will vote for Obama -- if they vote at all. Voting, after all, requires effort. He’s the man who will protect their parasitic lifestyle. America is in decline. Freedom is in decline in America. Economic liberty is becoming a memory rather than a reality. America is on its way to becoming Greece. The 47 percent Romney referred to are the people who are making this happen .. the driving force behind an anti-American president. Americans who assume a life of dignity – a lifestyle where they accept the responsibility of providing for themselves and their families – will vote for Romney.
Here’s where the Obama campaign and the proggies will go with Romney’s statement. Let’s take this one quote:
“My job is not to worry about those people. I'll never convince them they should take personal responsibility and care for their lives."
Romney was speaking to a fundraiser. When he referred to “his job” he was clearly referring to running for President .. .and he’s right. As a candidate he needs to pretty much ignore the moochers – those who pay no taxes while living off the efforts of those who do. Sure, some of them might actually be aspirational. They might believe that through hard work and good decision making they can actually move into the upper income levels and become American taxpayers! Perhaps Romney should find a way to address aspirational people. The main source of campaign donations and votes will be those who are carrying the load of the bloated monstrosity that is our federal government.
The left, though, will take that quote and use it to try to convince lower-income Americans that Mitt Romney doesn’t care for them or about them. The ObamaMedia will certainly pick up on that message and run with it.
For those of you who think that Mitt would truly not “worry about those people” as president, may I remind you of two stories?
First .. when the 14-year-old daughter of a Bain employee went missing in New York City, Romney shut down Bain Capital in Boston and moved almost the entire staff to NYC. He set up a war room in a hotel and enlisted the aid of Bain connections to find the girl. When they found her the doctors said she might not have had more than a day to live. This is a man who doesn’t care?
And here’s a story you probably haven’t heard. Romney was running against Ted Kennedy for Kennedy’s Senate seat in Massachusetts. As a Senatorial candidate Romney toured the VA hospital near Boston. While touring the hospital Romney discovered that there was not enough money to buy dairy products for sick soldiers. Romney reviewed the VA medical center’s books to see if there was any funny stuff going on. Everything looked fine, so Romney asked the administrators what they needed. They said they needed milk. Romney made some remark about how he had learned how to milk a cow .. then left. The next Friday the milkman arrived. A truck rolled up with 7000 pints of milk. The delivery man refused to tell the VA medical where the milk came from. When the man who delivered the milk finally retired about two years later he told the hospital staff where the milk came from. Mitt Romney.
Yeah … here’s a man who doesn’t care.
Now .. here’s a challenge for your proggies out there --- you Obama supporters. I want you to tell me one instance --- just ONE --- of Barack Obama stepping up as Mitt Romney has to show that he is a kind, caring and generous American. Just one.
