I’ve been saying this for a while now, anticipating some sort of October surprise in the presidential campaign. If Obama needs a real jolt to get people to the polls in November – especially young people -- there is one clear way he can do it: Student loan forgiveness. He managed to churn out a record number of young people in 2008, but the youth vote in 2012 isn’t nearly as enthused. If Obama needs more support in November, student loan forgiveness is exactly what would do the trick. Can the youth vote be bought for a trillion dollars in the form of student loan forgiveness? You betcha.
Now let’s pause for a moment to hear from some of these wonderful college students who are anxious for Obama to forgive their student loans, or just plain give them money. We have another gimme generation on the way here. I don’t want you to get depressed, but you need to hear this … and then find someone to get to the polls with you in November to stop this nonsense before it gets any further. Just watch ...
