Only 8% of Americans say they have a "great deal" of trust in the ObamaMedia. That’s about as pathetic an approval rating as Congress currently enjoys. That is a drop of 11% in just one year, and marks the lowest ever approval ratings since Gallup started tracking this question. Who is the most trusting the ObamaMedia? Democrats. There’s a real shocker. Goes with the territory, I guess.
Democrats are going to trust the ObamaMedia because people tend to gravitate toward news sources that confirm their beliefs. Therefore, their love affair with Barack Obama is simply confirmed by consuming the daily drivel that is passed off as news.
Before we get any further, and the Obama myrmidons start sending me the emails, no I am not a part of the news media. Reporters are supposed to be objective. I can be as subjective as I wish. Oops … sorry. For you government-educated Nuze readers, that means I don’t have to deal strictly with the fact situation. I can put my opinions and feelings into my commentary ---- and boy do I! On my show I regularly say that you should not believe anything you hear on my program unless you know it to be true or have done the research for yourself. My job is to entertain and keep people around long enough to listen to the commercials in between. However, the gravity of this impending election is so heavy, that I do take it upon myself to call out the Bolshoi when I see it and inform my listeners to the best of my abilities to the truth as I understand it.
While media bias has always existed, the American public seems to finally be realizing what I’ve realized for a while now: the ObamaMedia is in the tank for Barack Obama (hence the label, the ObamaMedia). This bias has become incredibly blatant because the ObamaMedia feels the need to defend itself, because it is largely responsible for the election of Barack Obama in 2008. His failure is their failure, so they will do what they can to make sure that he does not fail in November.
This bias comes in many forms. Here are just a few examples from the last few days …
CBS Doesn't Air Obama Admitting Mistakes in Campaign Ads
CBS Concedes: Romney Better Push Libya Because the Press Won't 'Make the Case for Him'
Politico, WSJ and AP Report Obama Crowd in Wis. of About 5,000 as 18,000
Brent Bozell and the folks at the Media Research Center and Newsbusters have been chronicling this bias for years. In fact, Bozell just wrote a column on this the other day: 'Bias by Omission' in Liberal Media Has 'Gotten to Ridiculous Heights.' Sometimes the bias isn’t even in how you cover a story but what stories you choose to cover (or ignore).
