There’s a new movie coming out called “Won’t Back Down.” It’s about school choice. Apparently this movie already has the union government school teachers all riled up. In their recent protests against the movie, they really got to the bottom of what is truly driving their anti-school choice agenda: Class warfare. Evil corporations.
“Corporations that are attempting to take over the public schools, we watched them crash our economy a few years ago, get bailed out, making multimillion dollars all over again, now they set their eyes on our children’s schools,” said the protester.
What’s this “Set their eyes on these schools” thing? Do you mean like the government set its eyes on these schools decades ago with the expressed purpose to educate Americans only to the point that they would be good employees and good government subjects, but never a threat to the employer or the politician? Like that is any nobler than corporate funding of private education and giving parents the power to choose where to educate their children?
Neal Boortz chronicles his 42 years of talk radio in his book "Maybe I Should Just Shut Up and Go Away" Available on line and printed from Barnes and Noble and Amazon.
