Yeah.  You got it.  I procrastinated.  I really wanted this book to be ready a few months before my retirement … but I just didn’t pay attention to the calendar.  When you self-publish there’s no real deadline and no advance you have to fear forfeiting if you don’t provide the manuscript on time.  So … there you go.  The book hit around the middle of December.

What book?  It’s called “Maybe I Should Just Shut Up and Go Away.”  I approached my old publisher, Harper Collins, about the book .. but they showed no interest, so I did it myself with the help of some very capable people.

Here’s the raw truth:  You make much more per book for an eBook than you do through the traditional publishing route.  I mean a LOT more.  As with my previous books,  I’m donating every penny I earn from this book to The Queen’s charitable (501(C)3) foundation.  I love seeing her help people with this money, and there will be more to give away this way.

How do you get the book?  If you use a Kindle you download it here.  If you are a Barnes & Noble Nook person, here’s your link.  Do you use iBooks on your iPad?  If not, download the iBooks app and then go to the iBook store and simply enter “Boortz.”

Hard copy?  Yup --- you can order through Amazon.com.  The only way you’re going to find it at a book store though is if that particular store decides to order (and pay for) some printed copies on their own.  The trouble is, they can’t return them if they don’t sell.  So … good luck with that.  I have been approached by the Barnes & Noble store at Perimeter Mall in Dunwoody (Atlanta) about a book signing … so we’ll see if they want to spring for the copies.  If so, we’ll make that happen.  There’s also several hundred of those books in my office.  Those will probably be available for purchase at the Boortz Happy Ending at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta on January 12thHere’s the link!

Since promotional copies of the book weren’t sent to folks like Hannity, Fox & Friends, Cavuto, etc … don’t look for any interviews of the author (me).  Don’t see how that’s gonna happen.

Before I move on to saying nasty things about voters, politicians, the media and such, how about a little self-indulgence.  No …  not quite the level of Obama self-indulgence, but I just want to show you some of the nice comments I’ve been getting about Shut Up and Go Away from my Twitter Posse:
