Again … thanks so much for the wonderful things you are saying about my new book, “Maybe I Should Just Shut Up and Go Away.” I was talking to Sean Hannity Tuesday night … he called to tell me that I had ruined his whole afternoon. How? Because he got a copy of my book and he and his staff spent the hours leading up to his show – hours he should have been spending on show prep --- as he said “howling with laughter.” That’s a great compliment coming from Sean … and much appreciated. By the way, I’ll be leading off the last hour of his show as his guest today … so spread the word. Next week I’ll be on Mike Huckabee’s radio show ... and I think Brian Kilmeade’s as well. You can also see my ugly mug on Huckabee on the Fox News Channel on Saturday night, January 19th.
People are asking about book signings. It was never my intention to do a book tour and signings with this book. I wrote the book principally because I had all of these stories to tell and things I wanted to say – a written record -- here at the end of my talk radio career. Another thing … at the point I’m ending my show, a show which started when my daughter was just two years old – my grandbaby is three and one-half. Someday she can read this book to see just what a mess her gwanpa was. I’m preparing a personal letter to her to put in a copy of the book that will tell her some things that imma not gonna tell y’all.
But … back to the book signings thing. We are in the process of setting up a book signing at the Barns & Noble Book Store near Perimeter Mall in Atlanta. I’m aiming for the evening of January 34th. Belinda is going to talk to the store today to see if we can set that up. I’m not going to be in Atlanta all that much after my last show on the 18th, so it’s hard to figure out a date.
Do you want a printed copy of the book instead of just downloading it to your eReader? You can click here to order them from Amazon.com. On the website it will say that the title has not yet been released. That’s because the release of the printed copy hits about six weeks past the release of the eBook. Click here to order the book for your Kindle. You can be reading it in minutes. You can order a printed copy from Barnes & Noble as well. And the Nook version of the book is available here.
I promise you you’ll love it! And remember … the money goes to The Donna Boortz Foundation, and she does some mighty fine things for people in desperate situations with the funds.
Neal Boortz chronicles his 42 years of talk radio in his book "Maybe I Should Just Shut Up and Go Away" Available on line and printed from Barnes and Noble and Amazon.
