There is only one thing I regret about not being on the air every day with a talk show. Well --- I miss my girls, Belinda and Cristina of course --- but I’m really missing the opportunity to promote my book “Maybe I Should Just Shut Up and Go Away!”
Something is happening with this book that hasn’t happened with any book I’ve written before. The comments and ratings on the book are almost UNIVERSALLY POSITIVE! People REALLY like it! The only negative comments I’ve received came from people who would condemn me if I saved an orphanage full of children from certain death from a pack of marauding pitt bulls.
Now I’ve been remiss about telling you about one bookseller out there that has really gone out of its way to promote the book, and that is Barnes & Noble. They actually invited me for a book signing at their Perimeter Mall store in Atlanta. Why is that a big deal? Well … because traditionally publishers ship books to a book store for a signing, then the book store is permitted to return all unsold books. That’s not the way it worked here. Barnes & Noble had to buy the books from me --- and I don’t take returns!
But wait! There’s more! A lot of you are asking where you can get printed copies of the book. Barnes & Noble is the only bookseller out there ordering printed copies from our distributor in Nashville for sale in some of their stores.
They’re supporting me and that means they’re supporting Donna’s charitable foundation. So I urge you to download “Maybe I Should Just Shut Up and Go Away” for your Nook from Barnes & Noble. Here’s your link for the Nook eBook version!! And yes! You can order the paperback version also! Here’s your link for the printed version from Barnes & Noble. I see that you can even make arrangements to pick up your copy at a local Barnes & Noble store!
So .. thanks for your support on the book. I’m really gratified at the response. And thanks for shopping from the folks who actually arranged a book signing and are ordering books for sales in their stores.
Who knows? Maybe we can arrange a signing at the Barnes & Noble in Naples!
