Really? In the 4th quarter of 2013, a quarter where we should experience some of the stronger economic growth of the year due to Christmas spending, the U.S. economy actually SHRINKS! Are you believing this?
Well, actually … yes. I am believing it. In fact, I’m not one bit surprised. I recognize that have a political party in control, a president in the White House, and a dominate media that have been brought together by a common dislike – hatred in some cases – for capitalism and free enterprise. They believe in an egalitarian society more than a free society … a society where, as the child said, “everybody has an equal amount of stuff.” You will find these people eager to write letters to the editors, and editors equally eager to publish them, decrying the accumulation of wealth by one individual while someone else, due usually to their own poor decision making, has less. That’s what happens in a system based on economic freedom, and for some it must be stopped.
Well naturally the 0bama junta needed to come up with an excuse for this economic decline. 0bama, of course, cannot any of the blame. His tax increases on the most productive Americans could not possibly have any effect. The tens of thousands of new anti-business regulations flowing in a constant stream out of Washington have no effect. The thousands – perhaps tens or hundreds of thousands – of businessmen who have made decisions to pare back or not to expand their businesses because of 0bamaCare certainly had nothing to do with this. The fact that 0bama’s jobs council hasn’t met for over a year? Well that just shows how little 0bama cares about all of this. Business owners and investors have come to realize that 0bama has accepted the current level of unemployment as the new normal.
No … none of those things could possibly have contributed to negative economic growth. The problem? Republicans! That’s right! It’s the Republicans! And more particularly, according to 0bama’s propagandist Jay Goebbels Carney, the blame should be laid on Republicans trying to preserve tax breaks for corporate jet owners. Yup! That’s it! Goebbels precise words from yesterday!
Now what we have here is the 0bama specialty – pure unadulterated class warfare. It’s those rich people who are responsible for our declining economy. These evil, greedy millionaires and billionaires are flying around in their private jets while the rest of you, if you are “fortunate” enough to be able to fly (“fortunate” because it has nothing to do with hard work) have to deal with the TSA groping and long lines. How DARE these millionaires and billionaires have something that you don’t have! Well don’t worry – the 0bama fairness Gestapo will be happy to bring these people down to size. Now that we’ve raised their taxes we’re going to get even more money out of them by getting rid of their tax deductions.
You are supposed to believe --- and a good many of you do --- that the economy grows when rich folk’s money is spent by government, but not when it’s spent on rich folks. When a person spends their own money on owning, maintaining and flying a private airplane, nothing positive is done for our economy. But when that money is seized from the rich SOB by the government and spent on Air Force One to fly 0bama to Las Vegas to make a speech on immigration reform (at a cost of $1.5 million) the economy soars!
And before I head out for the day’s retirement adventures … what’s this “corporate jets” yak squeeze? For decades they’ve been business jets. The NBAA is the “National Business Aircraft Association” not the corporate aircraft association. The company I used to work for has a few of these aircraft. They’re mainly used to fly technicians and service people around the country to keep company assets operating. The company, by the way, is not a corporation. These are not corporate jets. But 0bama’s goal here is to demagogue evil corporations. After all, corporations make donations to Republican political candidates. Corporations must become the faces of evil for the ordinary people who don’t fly around in private planes. Thus is the essence of class warfare, an 0bama specialty.
OUR FAIRTAX PETITION TO THE WHITE HOUSE
Frankly, I thought it would take about two day for my FairTax petition to the White House to get the necessary 25,000 signatures. With 137,000+ followers this should have been a no-brainer. But here we are weeks later and still needing 7,000 people to sign the petition before the White House, by it’s own rules, must respond. The petition is simple. All it asks is for 0bama to spend 60 minutes talking with me about the FairTax. This man insists he’s interested in comprehensive tax reform, so why wouldn’t he want to discuss the most thoroughly researched tax reform proposal in history? Well … we all know that Dear Ruler would decline the conversation, but wouldn’t it be interesting to see what the nature of the White House response to the petition would be? Here’s an idea? Once the petition receives the needed 25,000 signatures we could see who comes the closest to guessing the White House response. But none of this happens until we get the 25,000 signatures … so Click here to sign. It could bring about some interesting results.
